COOL COMIX ONLY

So it looks like a lot of cool fans have been making a bunch of UT themed webcomics. Since the scope of a webcomic is one that eclipses our current UT FANART THREAD (which you should totally check out), this new thread will be kept updated with links to ongoing or completed webcomics that feature the lovable cast/crew/world of UNDERTALE.

Before you guys get to posting however, here are a few tips and tricks to help you promote your suggested webcomics, and make them look more inviting!

Hey guys I saw this cool undertale comic and I think you should all check it out! plaintextlinkgoeshere.com

So, while this may be an earnest attempt to promote your favourite UT webcomic, that's no way to go about making an eye-catching post that will make the average forum-goer want to check out the material! While there may be many ways to plug your favourite comic, below I'll show you the recommended way to go about structuring your webcomic post!

  • Wow, that's sure to catch your audience's attention! Most webcomics nowadays have a banner or logo that you can include here as a way to make a good first impression. Now, because the art you'd be showcasing is probably a lot better than mine, you might want to use this very paragraph right below it to explain a little about what the webcomic is about, how often it updates, and, most importantly who the artist is.
  • It's important to remember that if you're posting someone else's work, you'll NEED to clearly say who is the creator and even link back to their homepage at the very end. Since most webcomics are hosted externally, linking back to the page should be second nature, however I can't express just how important it is that you don't come across as trying to take credit for someone else's work! Ideally use this second paragraph to give a little context about the author and even what you like about this webcomic and why you think it's so great! Giving your opinion on what you like/dislike about it will really convince people to go out of their way to read it!
  • Finally you can end it off with a quick message or what have you, and drop a link to the author's website where others can start reading. It's as simple as that!

While that might have been going overly-thoroughly you can be sure that once someone sees how much effort you put into describing and praising this comic, they'll definitely be more inclined to check it out. Thanks for reading the tips and tricks!

So now that you know how to make the perfect promotion post, feel free to use those guidelines to plug your favourite comics in this topic! All the comics compiled in this topic will be consolidated below in the handy dandy comic database! So let's get it started!

I'm sad nobody has found any cool undertale comics yet

I'm a little confused about the topic. Are we supposed to post our own comics or post links to ongoing or completed comics of Undertale someone else is doing or either one?

^ I think we're supposed to post links to cool UT comics we find, but it could also be one that we made ourselves if we're feeling artsy. So either one.

If that's the case, then, I'll start it off with an ongoing comic that I found and look at and updates at least twice a week.

AfterTaleComic by LoverOfPiggies on tumblr: This comic is focused mostly on Sans. Without giving too much away, the main plot shown in the first two pages basically shows that Sans remembers the evil route and gets flashbacks of it and tries to figure out what is going on and why he gets them.

My main likes of the comic is Chara. This comic has an interesting view of Chara's character. Also, Chara constantly mocks Sans. It's funny in a twisted way. The artist draws Chara in Frisk's body adorably as well and has great emotions on Chara most of the time.

The artist also greatly expands on the relationship between Sans and Papyrus very well too. It's very endearing and nice to look at. Papyrus's emotions and reactions are hilarious and amazing. I love every bit of it.

Warning: Moderate blood scenes and one or two Graphic Violence scenes.

One more thing: This is not my comic. Loverofpiggies made this.

OP has been updated BTW. Keep em coming!

Here are a few of my favorites!
Dreemur Reborn – What if Frisk felt so sorry for Asriel that they reset the game multiple times to hang out with him? And…what if this resetting went on for SO LONG that they ended up being emotionally attached to him enough to give up their soul, letting Asriel maintain his proper form? This storyline takes place after like 60 or so true pacifist runs, and follows Asriel after Frisk gave him their soul. There's a few animations and a fangame in the works too!

Underline – This AU (maybe not an AU?) follows Chara's experiences in the Underground before everything happened. Eventually, the other humans start to show up too, and Chara takes the role of narrator. Very well-written, very lovely, surprisingly compelling. The way they deal with the SAVE FILE/dying/signifying the passing of time is very neat.

OP was updated! Keep it up!

No one has mentioned The Thought yet? It's by Tratser (who is NOT ME) and complete at 46-ish pages. Tratser states that folks should use this URL when linking to it:

https://tratserenoyreve.tumblr.com/mycomics

While Sans/Frisk/Chara are the primary characters, the entire cast makes appearances (OK, Mettaton only has a bit part), and they are all true to their personalities in the original game… or at least, very close. As cool as the art is, it's the writing that really makes this one exceptional.

This comic has a very interesting AU take on Sans, but describing or naming it would be a spoiler.

Nice find, adding old and completed comics is always welcome. Feel free to make more recommendations to grow the list!

Underfell by Hi! I'm trying to Underfell! here is the link http://hiimtryingtounderfell.tumblr.com/comic
It's basically Underfell Frisk in the ruins arc has to escape the ruins from Toriel with the help of flowey.

Raging beast man I would suggest that you re-read the OP, especially about the part that says "tips and tricks", because you're going to need to provide me with more information than just that.

I'm usually not interested in fan fiction. This one caught my interest.

Dogs of Future Past is a weekly (usually) series by LynxGriffin that takes place after the game's true pacifist ending. While most updates are done as a visual comic, a few are simply written out as text with a few supplemental images. The main concept is that Frisk and Flowey want to go back to save Gaster from being erased from existence, but they don't want to reset again which would undo their happy ending. They come up with the idea to use one of the souls from the amalgamates and use its save file to go back in time without overwriting theirs. Their three souls successfully manage to go back to the past, but not quite in the manner they intended – all three souls now inhabit, and share control of, a small white dog.

I originally found out about this series when someone shared a link to LynxGriffin's three-part mini-series showing her interpretation of what happened in the True Lab with the amalgamates. I liked the art style, and thought the interpretation was really well done, striking a good balance between the creepy and emotional parts. From there I checked out the rest of the series and got hooked.

Enjoy!

Everyone should give Insomnia by wilyart a read. It's a weekly comic where everyone is living happily on the surface. Unfortunately for Sans he hasn't been getting much sleep lately, and it's all thanks to some strange dreams surrounding a mysterious figure. The comic has a great use of colour and does a great job at slowly giving hints. Are they just dreams? Forgotten memories? Up to page 108 now and counting!

Okay, I've been really into Handplates by Zarla but the newer comics aren't posted or drawn in any real order and the comic itself is really dark.

However the sibling bonding between Sans and Papyrus is very well written. Zarla really captures some moments of sincere love and care. This really got me into other Undertale comics.

I read AskFriskAndCompany, and judge it worthy.

http://askfriskandcompany.tumblr.com

Click on "Story Navigation" and "Full Story From the Beginning" if you're new to it.

This webcomic is by @chamomilekitten (Trash Queen), @comikatva (Canon Keeper) & @cluttercommander (Commander). (None of these people are me). It's ongoing, and updates more or less weekly.

The comic follows Frisk and the monsters after the True Pacifist ending. It's in the format of an "ask blog", which means that readers can and do participate by sending questions to any(?) Undertale character.

It's family-friendly (or at least, no further than PG-13), but expect some shipping and wild mood swings between comedy and serious stuff.

If the OP posts more in the future, I'd like Killertale to be added to this database. It's really well drawn so far!

There's no update schedule yet, as far as I know.

A nice sweet and cheesy crossover comic worth checking out would be CPAU (Christmas party) by Tumblr user Loverofpiggies.
The art is well done (digitae art this time) There is already a lot to read (not sure of update schedule).
It features many Sans and Papyrus (dunno how to plural their names) including Classic, Geno, Underfell, Underswap, Reaper Sans and some other unexpected guests…
They all enjoy themselves at Geno's Christmas party, loads of funny interactions as they each learn more about one another.

Overall a very cheesy and chill comic worth reading to get a good lil laugh.

Also Aftertale is finished now

Entity NEO caught my interest and my emotional investment months ago, so I judge it worthy to be here.

https://entityneo.tumblr.com

Click on the "Find a chapter" link if you're new to it, or the "Before you follow" and "Characters (Volume Warning)" tabs if you want to know the basic gist of it before you read.

Comic's by Mod NEO and Mod Migosp (None of these people are me. While I do know Mod NEO's main tumblr account I've inferred enough to believe that revealing such would disrespect their privacy, given that neither mod has revealed their main accounts publicly, and hence choose not to do so). It's ongoing, currently at 23 chapters (1045 pages) at time of recommendation, and tends to update with a whole chapter every few months.

The comic primarily follows Napstablook in a near-Genocide route ending, with them winding up becoming corporeal in Mettaton's body after he dies to Chara/Frisk. It's quite a downer and there's lots of emotional character-dynamic-related angst if you're into that kind of thing, but there's plenty of lighter moments to balance that out. A really great read if you're looking for something Napstablook/Mettaton/kinda-sorta Alphys- centric.

Overall, I dare say it's alright for teen and up audiences (at least PG-13 imo), though do expect some darker themes and possible trigger content (guns, scopophobia, death, dismemberment I can name from the top of my head), and possible Mood Whiplash between humor and angst at certain points (primarily due to the art style). Otherwise, I'd highly recommend it if you want a fancomic that handles angst, trauma, and character relationship dynamics surprisingly well.

Because God has cursed me for my hubris and my work is never finished.
